The Forsyth Network for Business Professionals, a local networking group, is moving into its 5th year. The group has had over a 30% increase in membership in the past year.
The organization wants to be more than just a networking group. They have supported the local community through donations to local charities for needy families throughout the county. Recently the group presented Michael Hogan M.D., founder of L.E.A.D.E.R. a local non-profit foundation, with $300.
The monies go towards Driver's Education in Forsyth County high schools by funding driving simulators. Dr. Hogan explained that this program consists of 30 hours in the classroom and 12 hours on driving simulators. L.E.A.D.E.R. was founded 10 years ago and has continued to grow each year. The cost of maintaining this program is about $15,000 per school each year.
